RP joins dive, travel show in Chicago

MANILA, Philippines – The country’s finest dive destinations was recently featured at the 40th Our World Underwater (OW-U) Dive and Travel Show in Chicago.

The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago said the Department of Tourism joined the event held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center last February 19-21.

It set up the Philippine Pavilion Booth to showcase the country’s prominent dive sites that offer exceptional scuba diving packages in destinations such as the provinces of Cebu, Puerto Galera, Dumaguete, Anilao, Bohol, Camiguin, Sorsogon, and Palawan.

Strategically positioned at the center of the world's coral triangle, the Philippines offers a wealth of diving opportunities in its 7,107 islands-from shallow shore dives to remote seamounts, from snorkeling alongside whale sharks to cruising with mantas and thresher sharks, and from exploring ship wrecks to photographing kaleidoscopic walls and reefs.

The OW-U Dive and Travel Show is the longest-running consumer dive and travel show in North America. It featured exhibits and promo packages from dive tour operators from all over the world for diving enthusiasts in Chicago.
