Search: Rapper-actor Francis Magalona succumbs to cance

Multi-awarded Filipino rap icon Francis Magalona has passed away at the Medical City in Mandaluyong around noon today. He was 44.

According to TV reports, this was announced by actor Vic Sotto in the noontime variety show Eat Bulaga, where Magalona used to be one of the hosts.

Magalona, considered as a major pillar of rap music in the country, was diagnosed with leukemia in August 2008. He is survived by his wife Pia Arroyo and children Unna, Nicolo, Francis Jr., Elmo, Arkin, Clara, and actresses Maxene and Saab

Condolences on Magalona's family, each of us has the purpose to live and also we die in our right time, i know , we knew that he was happy then during in his time when he was still alive because he does a lot good deeds , a good husband , a responsible dad .. so Rest in Peace KIKO

Filipinos in Greek Filmfest

Filipino actors Sid Lucero and Emilio Garcia were both hailed Best Actor for their film. Selda, at the 49th Thessaloniki International Film Festival in Greece.

The film's inclusion in the festival makes it the first time a Filipino film became part of the festival's main completion program.

Selda was also the first film to complete at the Motreal World Film Festival in Canada in August 2008.

Wow another Filipino are being awarded and i believed in them also. they are good actors and they deserved it!
